Headbands/Flowers

Recently a couple of friends and I decided that it's really hard to find infant headbands or bows that are cute and affordable. So we decided that we would make our own, so the last few days we've been gathering supplies and coming up with some ideas. Here are a few of the ones I've made just in the last couple of days. The nice thing about these headbands is that they are elastic and they work so well and they don't leave any marks on Carly's head. Let me know what your thoughts are on these flowers.... it will help me tons if I know what other people think of them.
Note: all these flowers are interchangeable.... is that how you say it? Ya that way you can put them with different bands or layers. Well anyways enjoy the pictures. Cause I'm sure in the next few days there will be more to come.
Well I've changed my mind about posting pictures of the headbands..... for now. Once I know excactly what I'm doing with them I'll let you all know.
Thanks for your comments
especially you Dad!!! (Shattering a dream.....j/k). LOL

"taggie" blanket

Lately I've been working on making Carly a "taggie" blanket. I've seen some really cute ones and I thought I'd try one. Now the thing is that I don't sew.... don't know how to, haven't really done it at all! Hot Glue is my best friend!!!! I like to hot glue everything and anything, until now..... I have decided that it was time to become a "crafty mom".......or whatever. So I went to the store and picked out some fabric and ribbons (Jonathan helped me out with that one, he actually picked the fabric out... can you tell?) well anyways I got it all pinned up and ready to sew... but there's just one problem, I don't own a sewing machine..LOL. Well good thing that my friend Leah has one, so one of these days I'm going to go and bug her and maybe finish this one project, that way I can put it under "finished projects". Oh the joys of trying to take care of kids, the house and doing "crafty motherly things"...LOL Well anyways let me know what you think.... but do keep in mind that this is my first and hopefully not my last.
Note: I picked out really cute ribbon to go along with it, except I ran out of it before I was even half way done... so I started to use some of my scrap ribbon that I have at home.... so next time buy enough ribbon to finish the whole thing...lol.
I saw these cute little blankets on etsy.com
